Develop Masterclass Series: The Planning Process and Working With Utility Providers

Navigate planning pathways and engage effectively with councils and utilities

Planning decisions can shape project timelines, costs, and outcomes more than almost any other stage of the development process. A clear understanding of planning systems and how to engage with councils, State Government and utility providers is critical to progressing projects with confidence.

This Masterclass session focuses on the practical realities of planning and approvals, exploring how developers can navigate council and State Government approvals pathways, manage planning risk, and engage more effectively with utility providers throughout the project lifecycle.

Through real-world examples, case studies and interactive problem-solving discussions, participants will examine common challenges associated with planning appeals, infrastructure coordination and approvals, and gain practical strategies to reduce friction and support more efficient, workable outcomes.

This session forms part of the Develop Masterclass Series, designed to build end-to-end development capability across the full property lifecycle. Participants can enrol in individual sessions, a three-session bundle, or the full six-session program.
