Building Waraba: Moreton Bay’s New City

Join us on 10 October as we explore the recently declared 3,000 hectare Waraba Priority Development Area (PDA).

Join senior representatives from Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) and the City of Moreton Bay to hear how the new city will deliver 30,000 lots and provide crucial housing for 70,000 Queenslanders. We’ll explore the path forward, including infrastructure funding and planning, and Council’s strategy for managing development assessments within the PDA.

Ruth Stokes from EDQ will provide an overview of the Interim Land Use Plan, and their progress on the development scheme.

EDQ’s Glenn Ziernik will then provide insight into the infrastructure funding framework and the preparation of a Development Charges and Offset Plan for Waraba.

Dan Staley from the City of Moreton Bay, will discuss Council’s approach to managing development assessments and how they will ensure this new city meets the needs of the community.

Book your spot now and be part of this important discussion shaping the future of Waraba.
