Pathways to Affordable Housing: Policy, Funding & Partnerships

Join us on 6 May to hear directly from the Minister for Housing, Hon. Sam O’Connor MP, as we discuss the government’s vision and key updates on housing, including social and affordable housing.

Minister O’Connor will outline his vision for housing in Queensland, highlighting opportunities for private sector partnerships in mixed-tenure projects. He will also provide an update on the Securing our Housing Foundations Plan, which aims to deliver 53,500 new social and affordable homes by 2044.

Deputy Director-General Sarah Amos will address key government initiatives, including the Housing Investment Fund and Housing Australia Future Fund, and their role in the Ministerial Infrastructure Designation process.

A panel featuring Caryn Kakas from ANZ, Charles Daoud from Traders in Purple, and Rebecca Oelkers from BHC Creating Liveable Communities will explore funding, designing, and delivery strategies, as well as opportunities to strengthen collaboration between government and the private sector.
