Property Law Committee

The Property Law Committee provides expert advice on legal matters affecting Queensland’s development industry, with a focus on property transactions, titling, body corporate legislation, and regulatory reform.

The committee monitors and reviews relevant state legislation — including the Property Law Act 2023, Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997, Land Sales Act 1984, and Land Valuation Act 2010 — as well as associated local controls. 

It contributes timely, evidence-based responses to proposed legislative changes and supports the Institute’s role in providing thought leadership on property law and regulation.
