Unlocking Ipswich: Western Growth Corridor Plan Update

The future of Ipswich’s Western Corridor is taking shape, with strategic planning playing a key role in guiding how these communities will grow and connect.

Garath Wilson from Ipswich City Council, will provide an update on the Western Growth Corridor Structure Plan (WGCSP), outlining emerging directions for land use, housing, infrastructure, transport and environmental management. This will include how the plan is being developed to guide growth across Rosewood, Walloon and Thagoona, and the role it will play in shaping future communities.

Following this, Kris Krpan from Urbis will offer further insight into the Structure Plan in its current state, including what industry can expect as the plan progresses and how it aims to provide greater certainty for developers and investors.

They will then be joined by Jaryd Collins from Atrio Property and Peter Honeyman from ID Land for a panel discussion, where they will share a developer’s perspective on the opportunities and challenges associated with delivering growth in the Western Corridor. Nathan Rule from Ipswich City Council will also join the panel, offering a local perspective on city design and its role in these growing communities.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from Council and industry as they outline the priorities, planning framework and development opportunities shaping one of South East Queensland’s key growth areas.
