Urangan South moves on
Following the Institute’s submission and support of the Urangan South Land Use Strategy and Local Area Plan – Draft Structure Plan Report (Draft Structure Plan), council has resolved to make a number of changes to the Plan, as well as progress to Stage 5 & 6 of the project.
In line with the Institute’s feedback, council has identified a central drainage buffer area as well as two more drainage channels (identified as 3 and 5 on Appendix F Infrastructure Plan) as trunk infrastructure.
Also, the proposed location of a road at the Stringybark and Boundary Road intersection will be shifted 50 to 100 metres west of the current proposed location.
Council will also be undertaking detailed design to refine the parameters and cost of the proposed trunk drainage and sewer solutions, which will include further consultation with affected landowners.
