Mackay Regional Council set to investigate industrial land supply
Institute advocacy on the importance of industry land in the region has been recognised with the Mackay Regional Council commissioning the preparation of an independent report on industrial land supply in the Mackay region.
The report seeks to understand the current and future demand for industrial land to ensure adequate supply for the future.
Council has engaged Brisbane-based firm and UDIA members Ethos Urban to assist in the study and deliver an independent report, which includes targeted engagement with industry stakeholders to understand the drivers of land demand.
The Institute’s Mackay Whitsunday Branch Committee will closely liaise with council on providing the industry’s view on current and future demand of industrial land and supply for future uses.
We encourage members within the branch to contact the committee and provide comments on industrial land in the region. Please contact Policy Executive, Robert Tily.
