Institute seeks Springfield certainty at Parliament
The Institute made a submission to the State Development, Tourism, Innovation and Manufacturing Committee of the Queensland Parliament regarding the Springfield amendments included in the Forest Wind Development Farm Bill 2020.
The Springfield development provides opportunities for a number of Institute members and we supported the bill to maintain certainty for projects in that area. The amendments address uncertainty arising from appeals in 2017 and 2018.
The presentation also gave the opportunity to reinforce with committee members the importance of the industry and the initiatives of the Institute’s Project Bounce Back: A COVID-19 Industry Action Plan.
The bill is expected to progress in the near future. The Institute submission can be found here.
