Have your say: Southern Thornlands Potential Future Growth Area
Redland City Council has commenced planning for the Southern Thornlands Potential Future Growth Area and has advised the Planning Minister of its decision on 16 September 2020 to consult the Redland Coast community on future land-use proposals.
Council will be consulting with the community and industry groups until November 20 and will be accepting survey feedback and submissions.
Under the South East Queensland Regional Plan, council is required to investigate this area to determine its appropriate use, including its potential as a future employment area. Submissions received will be used to inform the preparation of a potential future major amendment to City Plan and ShapingSEQ.
We urge members to review the material available on council’s website and provide survey response to council’s consultation. We also call for your general views and feedback to include in the Institute’s submission to council.
