Future of Redlands in the hands of draft corporate plan
“Our Future Redlands – A Corporate Plan to 2026 and Beyond” is currently under consultation and seeking community and industry feedback to help decide council’s priorities over the coming five years.
Redland City Council’s vision for 2041 is “Connected communities. Enviable lifestyle. Embracing opportunities”. Further, council has identified its 2041 goals:
- City Leadership
- Efficient and Effective Organisation
- Thriving Economy
- Strong Communities
- Natural Environment
- Liveable Neighbourhoods.
The Institute will be providing a submission and focus on council’s obligation under the South East Queensland Regional 2041 to facilitate future housing in the region and provide housing choice to the current and future residents along the Redlands Coast.
We urge members to review and provide their views to the Policy Team including what priorities council should focus on. The draft corporate has identified a five-year plan for each goal; each plan detailing the objectives, catalyst project, and key initiatives.
The draft corporate plan can be viewed here.
