Vision for Brisbane: An Update from Council and Urban Utilities

Join us on 29 August for an exclusive update on Brisbane City Council’s planning and development priorities.

With the housing crisis worsening, it has never been more important to remain focused on boosting housing supply in our region. Join us to hear Brisbane City Council’s strategic priorities, including how Council will deliver on the aspirations set out in ShapingSEQ 2023.

We’ve locked in the senior planning and development representatives from Council and Urban Utilities to deliver an exclusive update on assessment processes, planning scheme alignment, and key issues including infrastructure planning, car parking, and waste collection.

Hear Councillor Adam Allan outline Council’s strategic priorities for development in Brisbane.

Acting General Manager for Development Services, City Planning, and Sustainability, Annabelle Matthews will present Council’s approach to development assessment and plan sealing, highlighting current trends and timeframes in the development process.

Martin Reason will then discuss the Council’s strategic planning priorities, including planning scheme alignment following the release of ShapingSEQ 2023. He’ll also address your key issues such as car parking and waste collection in multi-unit residential buildings.

Urban Utilities’ Robert Fearon will provide an update on the impending release of their NetServ Plan and discuss how it will guide the delivery of infrastructure and development in the region.
