Homes for All: The Future of Housing in Bundaberg

Join us on 3 October to discuss the recent release of the Bundaberg Local Housing Action Plan (the Plan) and how it responds to the shortage of social, affordable, and private market housing in the region.

The Plan aims to develop agreed priority actions, establish strong foundations for longer-term housing, incorporate existing information and plans, and facilitate targeted interaction between all parties through agreed actions.

Mayor Helen Blackburn will offer an in-depth overview of the Plan, sharing insights on how the Council is working to implement its initiatives and address both current and long-term housing challenges in the region.

UDIA Queensland’s Taylor Hood will share the market conditions for Bundaberg and its surrounds, including data on the costs of delivering housing and the current rate of supply. He will also discuss the challenges faced by industry to deliver residential housing in this current climate.
