The opportunity to give your views on strategies to manage the impacts of coastal hazards into the future closes on 30 August.
Coastal adaption strategies can result in reduced areas for development, higher flood level freeboard for buildings, required higher finish levels for new roads, differing fill and excavation requirements, more extensive seawall barriers, and more.
The Sunshine Coast Regional Council is developing a long-term strategy to address the impacts of coastal hazards (beach erosion and short or long-term seawater inundation of land), and reduce impacts on the coast and communities over time.
Your input will inform the discussion on ways to adapt and manage our coastal areas.
