Branch President meets Moreton Bay’s new Chief Economic Development Officer
Branch President, Keith Cairns met with Moreton Bay Regional Council’s recently appointed Chief Economic Development Officer, Paul Martins to discuss the branch’s priorities and council’s plans to advance economic development.
Both parties agreed on the significance and the level of contribution the property development and construction industry have in the region. This was highlighted in the Institute’s submission on council’s draft Regional Economic Development Strategy.
Council’s Economic Development team will leverage and attract investment into the Moreton Bay region to provide high value jobs and income.
The Petrie Mill is one of council’s central foci to attract this investment and utilise existing assets to fully realise the economic potential behind this knowledge precinct.
Council’s Economic Development Team will work closely with the Development Services team and the Institute to explore economic opportunities to advance the region and make the Moreton Bay are an attractive place to invest.
