TOWNSVILLE: Range of council data now freely available

Townsville City Council has released a data dashboard, which holds a range of data on activities like enquiries, spending, facility locations, community profiles, plans, virtual tours, and mapping.

As an example, building approvals recorded include from 2009 for all types of work. New dwelling approvals revealed an average dwelling floor area of 220 square metres and the greatest numbers of new homes in 2020 located in Burdell and Bohle Plains.

Significant mapping is available here including interactive sun shading and vegetation for the CBD area.
