Embedded Energy network changes
Embedded network suppliers are relatively common among manufactured homes (residential parks) and body corporates. The group of homes have one connection and individual homes in the development are ‘behind’ the meter and charged by the body corporation or park manager. These customers generally pay less than other homes for electricity but may have issues obtaining pension discounts and resolving disputes.
The State Government has proposed changes that allow expanded access to the energy choices and an energy ombudsman rather than using QCAT. The Institute will lodge a submission today that expresses concern that this change may come with costs particularly for manufactured home parks.
