Toowoomba Social and Affordable Housing
As the housing crisis worsens and the demand for social and affordable housing increases, join us on 4 December for a discussion on how this typology can play a vital role in addressing the challenges faced in the Toowoomba region.
Rebecca Oelkers from BHC Creating Liveable Communities will provide an on-the-ground perspective on the opportunities and challenges of delivering this housing typology, and explore how industry can collaborate with key stakeholders to create mutually beneficial solutions.
Following Rebecca is Kristan Conlon from the Community Housing Industry Association and Emile McPhee from McCullough Robertson who will co-present their efforts to assist industry in meeting the growing need for social and affordable housing.
Cr Tim McMahon from Toowoomba Regional Council and Mark Jewell from McNab will join our speakers for a panel discussion. Cr McMahon will discuss the Council’s strategies for social and affordable housing while Mark will share McNab’s experiences in delivering this typology.
